Coach’s Comments: "Tessa is the type of player that you notice immediately on the court with her strong abilities. She is a strong, athletic, and intelligent DS/Libero with explosive quickness, exceptional ball control, and a no-fear attitude. She has the great ability to read the ball, the confidence to take a hard shot from any hitter, and the ball control to provide a quality pass on serve receive. We look for her to adjust to the college game quickly and be a solid part of our defense and serve receive rotations."
2025 (Freshman): First season at Cowley.
Before Cowley: Prepped at Glacier Peak High School, where she played three seasons of varsity volleyball. In her senior season, she led her team to a 30-6 record and finished in the first round of the Washington State tournament. During the season, she totaled 401 digs at 3.80 digs per set, 74 assists, and 49 service aces. For her efforts, she was named Washington 4A All-State Honorable Mention, First Team All-Wesco, selected to play as libero in the Washington All-State match, awarded the Grizzley Award by her coaches, and was ranked as high as 26th top player in the 2025 class in Washington and the 3rd best libero in the 2025 class in Washington by Prep Dig. In her junior season, she led her team to an 18-11-2 record and finished in the first round of the Washington State tournament. During the season, she totaled 317 digs at 3.60 digs per set, 91assists, and 29 service aces. For her efforts, she was named First Team All-Wesco and Second Team All-Area. In her sophomore season, she led her team to a 14-14-3 record. During the season, she totaled 301 digs at 3.30 digs per set, 62 assists, and 30 service aces. For her efforts, she was named Second Team All-Wesco. Her varsity career totals included 1,019 digs, 227 assists, and 108 aces. Mossburg enhanced her skills by playing club volleyball for the Space Needle Volleyball Foundation. During her junior year, her Space Needle Volleyball Foundation (SNVF) U18 Secret club team placed first at the Pacific Northwest Qualifier in the USA division. Also, that year, her team finished 2nd in the U18 Open division at the Emerald City Classic. Her sophomore year, her SNVF U17 Secret club team placed 1st at the Pacific Northwest Qualifier in the American Division. Also, that year, her team placed 3rd at the Puget Sound Region Championships. Off the volleyball court, she was honored to be a part of the National Honor Society all 4 years of High School. I have also maintained a 4.0 all throughout her High School career. She was also named Senator her freshman and sophomore years, served as a Junior Class Officer and also served as Senior Class Officer.

Cowley College volleyball players Ashlynn Jaccard and Hanna Darvas, along with Neosho County libero Trinity Collette, have all earned Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference Division 2 Volleyball Player of the Week honors following five-match weeks for both the Tigers and Panthers last week.
Running its winning streak to 95 matches in a row, the No. 1-ranked Cowley College volleyball team defeated conference rival Highland Community College 28-26, 25-13, 25-18 on Wednesday inside W.S. Scott Auditorium.

Entering the program’s 50th season, high expectations are in store for the Cowley College volleyball program. The team is coming off a very successful 2024 season that resulted in back-to-back undefeated NJCAA National Tournament National Championships, a Plains District Championship, a 41-0 overall record with a 10-0 conference record, and continued the longest consecutive win streak at 81 consecutive matches won.
