Bio

Coach's Comments: Keely is a strong player who provides us with great height and strength that allows her to play strong at the net with her attacking and blocking abilities. As a middle hitter and an opposite hitter, she works hard on every play to get her hands in front of hitters on the block and then to make herself available as an attacker on offense. She does a great job using her length and taking advantage of the angles she can take away and create. 

2019: played in 16 sets...recorded 4 kills, a .231 hitting %, and 3 blocks.

Before Cowley: Prepped at Searcy High School where she played four seasons of volleyball. She helped lead her team to two state tournament appearances and recorded some of the top seasons in program history. In her career, she was awarded All-Conference twice and was named to the All-State Tournament team. Solida also participated in club volleyball for three years for the Fearsome Volleyball Club in Searcy, Arkansas where she enhanced her volleyball skills, even more, to prepare for her college career.

In what was an up and down season for the Cowley College volleyball team, the Lady Tigers had their season come to an end with a 13-25, 25-22, 26-28, 23-25 loss to Neosho County in the first round of the District B Tournament played Friday in Highland, KS.

Getting a small reprieve from a grueling schedule, the Cowley College volleyball team defeated a pair of inferior opponents Monday inside W.S. Scott Auditorium. The Lady Tigers started with a 25-21, 25-14, 25-14 victory over a winless Hesston College squad before knocking off the Friends University JV 25-15, 20-25, 25-8, 25-14.

Lady Tiger volleyball team eager to continue success

Entering the program’s 44th season for the Cowley College volleyball program, high expectations are in store for the program. The team is coming off of a 2019 season that saw them finish with a record of 31-6 overall and a 7-3 record in the Jayhawk Conference Eastern Division. The team also stayed in the top 10 in the NJCAA national rankings most of the season and rose as high as number four in the national rankings for a pair of weeks.
