Coach’s Comments: “Brooklyn is an explosive hitter who hits a "heavy ball" on her attack and has the ability to read defenses and hit a variety of sets. She is a well-rounded athlete who has the ability to hit a variety of sets plus has the ability to play in the back row. This, combined with her contagious energy on the court provides the team with a valuable weapon."
2025 (Freshman): First season at Cowley.
Before Cowley: Prepped at Goessel High School, where she played four seasons of varsity volleyball. In her senior season, she led her team to a 32-8 record. During the season, she totaled 497 kills at 6.00 kills per set, a .315 hitting percentage, a .420 kill percentage, 39 aces, 273 digs at 3.30 digs per set, and 24 blocks. She was named team captain, All-State First Team, Wheat State League MVP, First Team All-League, KVA All-Academic First Team, All-State All Classes 12th in Total Kills, All-State 1A 2nd in total kills, and All-State All Classes 50th in Hitting %. In her junior season, she led her team to a 30-10 record. Wuest recorded 315 kills at 4.10 kills per set, 22 aces, 258 digs at 3.40 digs per set, and 23 blocks. She was named All-State Honorable Mention, Wheat State League First Team, and KVA All-Academic First Team. In her sophomore season, she led her team to a 24-14 record. She recorded 182 kills at 2.70 kills per set, 47 digs, and 25 blocks. She was named Wheat State League Honorable Mention and KVA All-Academic First Team. In her freshman season, she led her team to a 25-12 record. She recorded 220 kills at 2.60 kills per set, 62 digs and 26 blocks. She was named Wheat State League Honorable Mention and KVA All-Academic First Team. Her career totals included 1,214 kills at 3.90 kills per set, 61 aces, 640 digs at 2.05 digs per set, and 98 blocks. Off the volleyball court, Wuest also participated in four seasons of track and field, four seasons of cheer, and three seasons of Basketball at Goessel High School. Wuest was awarded Honor Roll: for all four years, Class President her freshman year, Student Council Cheer Rep her sophomore and junior years, Student Council Social Media Manager her senior year, and Elbiata Honors Ensemble-all four seasons.

Playing on the road for the first time this season, the No. 1-ranked Cowley College volleyball team went 2-0 over the weekend in Nebraska. The Lady Tigers opened with a 25-23, 25-22, 25-22 win over No. 19-ranked Central Nebraska on Friday before defeating Northeast Community College 26-24, 25-18, 25-16 on Saturday.
The top-ranked Cowley College volleyball team rarely drops a set at home. Although it did not lose a set in its home match against the Kansas Wesleyan University JV on Wednesday, the Lady Tigers were challenged by the Coyotes in a 25-12, 28-26, 25-18 win.
Opening defense of its back-to-back national championships, the top-ranked Cowley College volleyball team picked up a pair of wins on Thursday inside W.S. Scott Auditorium. The Lady Tigers began with a 25-5, 25-18, 25-10 win over the Southwestern College JV before defeating Pratt 26-24, 25-11, 25-15.
Entering the program’s 50th season, high expectations are in store for the Cowley College volleyball program. The team is coming off a very successful 2024 season that resulted in back-to-back undefeated NJCAA National Tournament National Championships, a Plains District Championship, a 41-0 overall record with a 10-0 conference record, and continued the longest consecutive win streak at 81 consecutive matches won.
