Coach’s Comments: "Laci is a solid student-athlete who works hard to excel on and off the court. Laci comes to us from a strong volleyball program where she has learned the game on both sides of the ball. She provides a powerful and consistent attack and brings a great block to shut down opponents."
 
2021 (Freshmen): First season at Cowley.
 
Before Cowley: Prepped at Circle High School in Towanda, Kansas where she played three seasons. She helped lead her team to a sub-state championship and a third place finish in the Kansas 4A State Championship Tournament in 2019. In her senior year, Beougher was named 4A Kansas Volleyball Association All-State Honorable Mention and AVCTL First Team All-League with her recording 264 kills at 4.2 kills per set, a .393 kill percentage, and 117 digs. Her 4.2 kills per set ranked her sixth in Classes 4A, 5A, and 6A for kills per set. Also, her 4.2 kills per set ranks her in the top 10 in the state of Kansas in kills per set. Her junior year, she recorded 248 kills and was named Chisholm Trail League Honorable Mention.

The No. 2-ranked Cowley College volleyball team faced its first bit of adversity after dropping its first set of the season in a match against Cisco College (TX) Saturday inside W.S. Scott Auditorium. However, the Lady Tigers bounced back from the 27-25 loss of the opening set to defeat the Wranglers 25-27, 25-20, 25-17, 25-13 as they went 3-0 on the weekend and remain unbeaten on the season.

Cowley volleyball eager to bounce back in Jayhawk Conference

Entering the program’s 45th season, high expectations are in store for the Cowley College volleyball program. The team is coming off of a 2020 campaign that that saw them finish 16-11 in the shortened Covid-19 season. Now, Cowley head coach Steven Gream will enter his sixth season, leading his Lady Tigers as they work to continue the success of the program.
