Coming off its first loss of the season Saturday at No. 8-ranked Pratt Community College, the No. 5-ranked Cowley College wrestling team bounced back to knock off a pair of conference foes at home on Tuesday. The Tigers pulled out a 22-21 win over 11th-ranked Northwest Kansas Tech before defeating 17th-ranked Labette 36-7.
Taking part in a pair of duals Tuesday in Great Bend, KS, the No. 5-ranked Cowley College wrestling team shut out No. 11-ranked Neosho County 46-0 before rallying to defeat host Barton Community College 21-18.
Improving its record to 5-0 in duals, the No. 5-ranked Cowley College wrestling team defeated No. 20-ranked Cloud County 31-15 Tuesday in Concordia, KS.
Continuing to dominate fellow Jayhawk Conference opponents, the No. 5-anked Cowley College wrestling team knocked off No. 19-ranked Colby Community College 51-4 and No. 11-ranked Neosho County 30-15 in a home dual Tuesday in Arkansas City.
Opening the season at the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference duals held Tuesday in Great Bend, KS, the No. 5-ranked Cowley College wrestling team showed they will once again be a force to reckon with. The Tigers opened with a 28-6 win over host Barton and followed that up with a 36-12 victory over No. 17-ranked Labette.
In only its third year of existence, the Cowley College wrestling team achieved a top-15 national ranking and captured the Jayhawk Conference title by going unbeaten at the Jayhawk Duals. The Tigers will look to build off of its strong 2019-2020 campaign as they enter into an unknown 2021 season.
