The Tigers pulled out a 22-21 win over 11th-ranked Northwest Kansas Tech before defeating 17th-ranked Labette 36-7.

Opening the season at the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference duals held Tuesday in Great Bend, KS, the No. 5-ranked Cowley College wrestling team showed they will once again be a force to reckon with. The Tigers opened with a 28-6 win over host Barton and followed that up with a 36-12 victory over No. 17-ranked Labette.

Tiger wrestling program looks to repeat as conference champs

In only its third year of existence, the Cowley College wrestling team achieved a top-15 national ranking and captured the Jayhawk Conference title by going unbeaten at the Jayhawk Duals. The Tigers will look to build off of its strong 2019-2020 campaign as they enter into an unknown 2021 season.
