Hughes highlights list of all-conference softball selections
Leading the Cowley College softball team in batting average (.459) and on base percentage (.487), as well as tying for the team lead in hits (67) and stolen bases (39), sophomore outfielder Paige Hughes was named a KJCCC First Team all-conference selection.
Leading the Cowley College softball team in batting average (.459) and on base percentage (.487), as well as tying for the team lead in hits (67) and stolen bases (39), sophomore outfielder Paige Hughes was named a KJCCC First Team all-conference selection.
Joining Hughes as other Lady Tiger all-conference selections was sophomore second baseman Micah North (.283 average, 20 runs batted in), sophomore pitcher Ashlynn Mercer (15-7, 3.46 earned run average), and freshman Kayla McClellan, who led Cowley in home runs (eight), doubles (16), and runs batted in (59), while batting .375. North, Mercer, and McClellan were named Second Team all-conference selections.
Cowley also had four players named Honorable Mention all-conference. The four were, sophomore pitcher Brooke Mason (16-9, 2.91 ERA), sophomore infielder Dezmen Duncan (.387 average, 39 stolen bases), freshman outfielder Tatyana Curry (.366 average, 17 stolen bases), and freshman infielder Elizabeth Luttrell (.298 average, 16 RBI).
