Cowley College sophomore Lubna Suied continued her dominating sophomore season by winning the women’s race at the Cross Country Conference/Region Championships held Friday in El Dorado, KS. Suied’s impressive victory helped the Lady Tiger cross country team capture their fourth straight conference title and place second in the region.
With all five of its runners achieving personal best times at the Muthana-Rogers Cross Country Invitational held Saturday in Newton, KS, the No. 1-ranked Cowley College women’s cross country team placed seventh out of 14 teams.
A year removed from placing eighth at the NJCAA Division I National Cross Country Championship, the Cowley College women's cross country team has its sights on a national title after making the move to NJCAA Division II competition.
