Brooklyn Wuest

Coach’s Comments:  “Brooklyn is an explosive hitter who hits a "heavy ball" on her attack and has the ability to read defenses and hit a variety of sets. She is a well-rounded athlete who has the ability to hit a variety of sets plus has the ability to play in the back row. This, combined with her contagious energy on the court provides the team with a valuable weapon. She was our "swiss army knife" in 2025 where she came in and produced as a hitter when her name was called and then she came in and produced in the back row when she was needed in key matches that also included the national tournament. Her ability to do a variety of things and do them well is invaluable to the team and allows our team to give opponents different looks and quality depth. She has put in a ton of work in the off-season and we are excited to see her put the work to use in 2026."

 

2025 (Freshman): Played in 42 sets... recorded 70 kills at 1.67 kills per set, a .271 hitting percentage, 28 digs, 4 aces, and 8 blocks.

 

Before Cowley: Prepped at Goessel High School, where she played four seasons of varsity volleyball. In her senior season, she led her team to a 32-8 record. During the season, she totaled 497 kills at 6.00 kills per set, a .315 hitting percentage, a .420 kill percentage, 39 aces, 273 digs at 3.30 digs per set, and 24 blocks. She was named team captain, All-State First Team, Wheat State League MVP, First Team All-League, KVA All-Academic First Team, All-State All Classes 12th in Total Kills, All-State 1A 2nd in total kills, and All-State All Classes 50th in Hitting %. In her junior season, she led her team to a 30-10 record. Wuest recorded 315 kills at 4.10 kills per set, 22 aces, 258 digs at 3.40 digs per set, and 23 blocks. She was named All-State Honorable Mention, Wheat State League First Team, and KVA All-Academic First Team. In her sophomore season, she led her team to a 24-14 record. She recorded 182 kills at 2.70 kills per set, 47 digs, and 25 blocks. She was named Wheat State League Honorable Mention and KVA All-Academic First Team. In her freshman season, she led her team to a 25-12 record. She recorded 220 kills at 2.60 kills per set, 62 digs and 26 blocks. She was named Wheat State League Honorable Mention and KVA All-Academic First Team. Her career totals included 1,214 kills at 3.90 kills per set, 61 aces, 640 digs at 2.05 digs per set, and 98 blocks. Off the volleyball court, Wuest also participated in four seasons of track and field, four seasons of cheer, and three seasons of Basketball at Goessel High School. Wuest was awarded Honor Roll: for all four years, Class President her freshman year, Student Council Cheer Rep her sophomore and junior years, Student Council Social Media Manager her senior year, and Elbiata Honors Ensemble-all four seasons.
