A freshman from Kazakhstan came to Cowley with a lot of experience and an ITF junior ranking of 179. She had a strong fall season, claiming both singles and doubles championships at the Regional Championships and qualifying for the ITA Cup. She finished as the runner-up in singles and won the Doubles with partner Arina Babenko. Arystanbekova finsihed the fall season with a national ranking of No. 2 in singles and No. 1 in doubles.
