Current School record holder for Men’s Triple Jump along with having the tied record for the 110m Hurdles. Diego was able to help the team securing 8th in the 60m Hurdles and 4th in Triple Jump at the NJCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships. In the off season back in Spain Diego places 1st in the 110m Hurdles at the Team League Finals, and finished 1st in the U20 Spanish Championship. Diego will be chasing the indoor 60m Hurdle Record and looking to break his current records. He will also help in the 4 x 100m, and the 400m Hurdles as well in outdoor season.

The Lady Tigers place 10th at the NJCAA Division I Outdoor Track and Field Championships held in Hutchinson, KS. The Tiger men finished in 22nd place out of 35 teams at the national meet.

Cowley College sophomore Diego Andres-Dougan highlighted the list of Tiger athletes competing this past weekend at the Wichita State University KT Woodman Classic. Andres-Dougan placed seventh in the 110-meter hurdles with a school-record time of 14.52. Andres-Dougan previously shared the school-record time of 14.57 with Bryan Jasmin.
The Cowley College track and field teams attended the Region VI/Jayhawk Conference Indoor Championship meet Saturday and Sunday in Pittsburg, KS. The teams each had an individual Region VI champion and several Jayhawk Conference champions as both the men and women’s teams placed second in the conference. The Lady Tigers also finished fourth in the region, while the men finished fifth.
With the Jayhawk Conference/Region VI Indoor Track and Field Championships approaching this weekend in Pittsburg, KS, the Tiger track and field teams got in a final tune up at the Seventh Annual Gorilla Indoor Classic held Saturday at the Robert W. Plaster Center in Pittsburg.
The Cowley College men and women’s track and field teams took a limited number of athletes to compete at the Herm Wilson Invite held Friday and Saturday inside Wichita State University’s Heskett Center. Among the notable performances were Lady Tiger sophomore Kayla McClellan winning the weight throw and men’s sophomore Diego Andres-Dougan placing first in the triple jump and winning his heat in the 60-meter hurdles.

The Cowley College men and women’s indoor track and field teams are excited about the upcoming season as they have added some talented freshmen to go along with several returning athletes. The Tiger indoor track and field teams will open the season Saturday at the Washburn University Rust Buster in Topeka, KS.
