Coach’s Comments: "McKinzie has the ability to do a variety of things on the court and play a variety of positions. She has athleticism and timing that allows her to play strong at the net with her attacking and blocking abilities. Her back-row defensive skills and strong serving skills make her a perfect utility player, providing us with a variety of options. McKinzie also has excellent court awareness, ball control, and the ability to run a variety of sets with her experience playing various hitting positions. Her ability to also set enhances our team's ball control even more and provides another solid setter to our program that gives us options."
2026 (Freshman): First season at Cowley.
Before Cowley: Prepped at Lincoln Northeast High School in Lincoln, Nebraska, where she played four seasons of volleyball. In her senior season, she totaled 236 kills at 2.30 kills per set, 408 assists at 4.0 assists per set, 229 digs at 2.20 digs per set, 28 blocks, and 55 aces. She set a school record for most points scored in a season with 330 and was third in aces in a season with 55. In her junior season, she totaled 148 kills at 1.70 kills per set, 369 assists at 4.1 assists per set, 196 digs at 2.20 digs per set, 30 blocks, and 42 aces. In her sophomore season, she totaled 119 kills at 1.4 kills per set, 363 assists at 4.40 assists per set, 146 digs at 1.8 digs per set, 17 blocks, and 24 aces. In her freshman season, she totaled 73 kills, 204 assists, 129 digs, 20 blocks, and 26 aces. She also won the Shannon Drake award during her freshman year. In her high school career, she totaled 576 kills, 1,344 assists, 700 digs, 95 blocks, and 147 aces. Her 147 aces in her career are a school record.
