Coach’s Comments:  “Dalia has athleticism and timing to allow her to play strong at the net with her attacking and blocking abilities. She has a very quick and powerful attack that works in conjunction with her strong athleticism, court awareness, and timing. On the defensive side, she also uses these skills to provide a solid block and can also hold her own in the back row after she serves. Her experience playing at the very strong Italian B2 level will be invaluable for our program and will aid her in making the adjustment to the college level and our style of play at Cowley."
 
2026 (Freshman): First season at Cowley.
 
Before Cowley: Prepped at Liceo Scientifico Ugo Morin in Mestre Venezia, Italy. She began playing with Synergy Volley from 2018-2021, where she played middle hitter. While playing for them, she led her team to the First County Championship for U12, First place for the Serra Cup, and First place for the Bisson Gru Cup. In 2021, she began playing for Imoco Volley San Dona, where she led the team to the First County Championship for U15 and Second in the County Championship in U16. Then in 2023, she began playing for Fusion Team Volley, where she led her team to the First County Championship for U16, Second in the County Championship in U18, and First in the County Championship in U18. Giacometti, while playing for Fusion Team Volley (a B2 Italian League), also led her team to a fourth-place region finish for U16, seventh place in the Campesan Trophy for U16 while competing against some of the best players in Italy who played at the A1 youth team level. In 2024, she placed third place in the region for U18 and fourth place in the Challenge Citta di Torri U18. In 2025, she placed fourth in the region for U18. Currently, she is competing with Libertas Volley Scorze for the B2 promotion in the upcoming playoffs.
