Coach’s Comments:  "Lauren is a strong, athletic, and intelligent player with much experience and exceptional all-around skills. She comes to Cowley with high athleticism, the ability to play several positions, strong coachability, high volleyball IQ, passion for the game, great reading skills, strong blocking skills, and aggressive play on both offense and defense. We look for her to really enhance our offense and defense to allow us to run our high-powered offense and get quality stops."
 
2025 (Freshman): Played in 116 sets...recorded 235 kills at 2.03 kills per set, 172 digs, 19 aces, 61 blocks, and averaged 2.6 points per set. She was ranked 19th in total kills in KJCCC and 23rd in Kills per set. She also recorded 10 or more kills in a match 12 times and also posted a career-high 15 kills against Morton College during the season.
 
 
Before Cowley: Prepped at Lakeside High School, where she played four seasons of volleyball. In her senior season, she totaled 437 kills at 5.1 kills per set, 311 digs at 3.7 digs per set, and 59 service aces. In her high school career, she played middle hitter, outside hitter, and setter, totaling 1,292 kills (school record at 4.0 kills per set), 847 digs, 267 assists, and 246 aces. For her efforts, she received All-District honors, was named All-State, was a State Line All-Star, and was named team captain. In other sports, she lettered four years in basketball and track and field. In basketball, she received All-District and All-Star honors. In track and field, she received All-State four times, was an eight-time medalist, and an eight-time All-District selection. Off the court, in high school, Brummet balanced her athletic career with academic excellence. She was named senior class vice-president, student council vice president, and was named to the high honor roll. She transferred to Cowley from NJCAA DII Allen County Community College after serving as an opposite hitter for the program. The program was ranked in the top 25 during the season, reached the Plains B tournament before falling to Cowley, and finished with an 18-13 record.
