Coach’s Comments: “Dani is an intelligent libero/defensive specialist who can read the ball well, has the speed to get to where she needs to go, is not afraid to take a hard shot from any hitter, and has the skills that allow her to provide a quality pass to our setters on serve receive. Combined with these great skills she has an excellent serve that is also part of our philosophy in serving aggressive.”

Before Cowley: Prepped at Dexter High School where she played three seasons of volleyball. Smith also improved her training while playing for One Volleyball Academy where she won numerous championships with the program. In 2019, she was invited to participate, along with players from all over the country, in the NoKaOi Volleyball tournament in Honolulu, Hawaii. News mentions
Entering the program’s 45th season, high expectations are in store for the Cowley College volleyball program. The team is coming off of a 2020 campaign that that saw them finish 16-11 in the shortened Covid-19 season. Now, Cowley head coach Steven Gream will enter his sixth season, leading his Lady Tigers as they work to continue the success of the program.
