Santo Domingo, Dominica Republic - High school Name: Liceo Ramon Matias Mella – Returning Sophomore who is the current outdoor record holder for the triple jump for Cowley College. Genesis has her eyes set on putting her mark on more events in the colleges record books. Will assist the team in the hurdles, sprints and horizontal jumps. Has the potential to qualify for national in multiple events.

Led by seven individual conference champions, the Cowley College women’s track and field team finished as the Jayhawk East conference champion for the first time since 2019 at the indoor conference/region championship meet held this past weekend in Pittsburg, KS.
Taking part in the final regular season meet of the indoor season, the Cowley College men’s and women’s track and field teams took a small group of national qualifiers to compete Friday and Saturday at Pittsburg State University. The venue will host the Region VI/ KJCCC Conference Championships the following week.
Competing Friday and Saturday at the Washburn Open in Topeka, KS, the Cowley College men’s and women’s indoor track and field teams had four new national qualifiers and 10 new individuals move into the programs’ top-15 all-time lists.
This past weekend, the Cowley College men’s and women’s track and field teams took a small group of athletes to compete at the Wichita State University Herm Wilson Invitational.
