Cowley College sophomores Vera Hoekstra and Valentina Rodriguez recently signed letters of intent to continue their tennis careers at NAIA schools.
Hoekstra signed with Florida National University, while Rodriguez signed with Indiana Tech.
"I am proud of Valentina and Vera, they both work hard in the classroom and on the tennis court," Cowley head coach Manuel Raga said. "I feel they will continue to grow as players and will bring a winning mindset to their teams in the fall."
Hoekstra came to Cowley from Utrecth, in The Netherlands.
"This was my first experience of living in America," Hoekstra said. "The people at Cowley feel like family, it will be hard to leave. But, I love the location of Florida National University and their psychology program really fits me."
Rodriguez came to Cowley from Quito, Ecuador and has made life-long friends at the school.
"I am grateful for my two years at Cowley and have made a lot of friends," Rodriguez said.
Rodriguez will join fellow Ecuadorian athletes Dominique Michelet and Vero Jimenez on the Warriors' tennis team and will major in electrical engineering.
