Bio
Roberto dos Santos enters his eighth season as the head women’s soccer coach at Cowley College.
He and the Lady Tigers are coming off another stellar season as they captured their second straight district title during the 2024 campaign and finished the season at the national tournament.
Before this, dos Santos helped lead the 2023 Cowley College women's soccer team to its first-ever district title and victory at the NJCAA Division I Women's Soccer Championships. He was named the Coach of the Year in the conference and region for the second time in the past three seasons.
The Lady Tigers advanced to the semifinals of the national tournament before having their season come to an end with a record of 13-5-4.
After 10 seasons as the head men’s soccer coach at Cowley College, Roberto Dos Santos made the transition to serve as head coach of the women’s soccer team during the 2018 season.
Dos Santos previously coached the women’s soccer team at Cowley College in its inaugural season and helped the Lady Tigers to a respectable record of 8-9. His presence helped Cowley win two more conference games than the previous season in his return to coaching the Lady Tigers.
During the 2019 season, Dos Santos led the squad to what was then its most successful season in the program's history. The Lady Tigers would finish the season with a record of 14-4. The 14 wins were a then-school record. Cowley also captured its first-ever conference title and won its first-ever playoff game during the 2019 season.
In his third year back with the team, Cowley made it back-to-back conference titles and finished with a record of 10-3-1.
During the 2022 season, Dos Santos helped the Lady Tigers win a third straight conference title and finish with a record of 15-1-2.
Before returning to coach the women’s soccer team, Dos Santos led the Tiger men’s soccer team to back-to-back second-place finishes in the conference during the 2016 and 2017 seasons and finished with a record of 79-68-10 as coach of the men’s team.
He holds a career record of 62-33-9 as head coach of the Lady Tigers.
Before coaching at Cowley, Dos Santos spent the previous seven years as the Southwestern College Moundbuilders’ head men’s soccer coach and also spent five of those seasons as the head women’s coach as well.
Dos Santos is a native of Brasilia, Brazil. At Bethany, he was a first-team all-conference selection all three years at the school. He capped his collegiate career by being named an all-American in 1994.
