Lady Tiger soccer duo signs with Paul Quinn College
Playing key roles on back-to-back region championship squads, Cowley College sophomores Sabrina Barbosa and Louyse Cristine will take their talents to Paul Quinn College in Dallas, TX, as they recently signed letters of intent to continue their soccer and academic careers at the NAIA school.
Barbosa and Cristine had big sophomore seasons, helping the Lady Tigers advance to the 2025 NJCAA Division 1 Women's Soccer National Tournament semifinals, where they fell to eventual National Champion Daytona State.
Cowley finished the 2025 season unbeaten in the Jayhawk Conference and finished with a record of 15-2-4.
After appearing in 14 games as a freshman, Barbosa made a major statement as a sophomore, scoring four goals and adding four assists.
As for Cristine, she spent a redshirt year during the 2024 season due to injury. The midfielder returned to the team at full strength and scored four goals, including three in the Tigers' final five games.
The duo will attempt to lead Paul Quinn College to the same level of success they enjoyed while playing at Cowley.
