Callie Jones named Second-Team All-Conference defender
November 8, 2013
Starting 16 of 17 games this season as the Cowley College women's soccer team's central
defender, sophomore Callie Jones was recently named a Second-Team All-Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference selection.
Jones made tremendous progress over her two seasons at the school and was twice named a Second-Team All-Conference performer.
"A very hard worker, never wants to stop improving, and one of the nicest young ladies I have had the privilege to work with," Cowley head coach Dane Straight said. "She was one of our leaders simply because of her efforts on the practice field, there wasn't a day she was out there that she didn't give everything she had and she never accepted anything less than that from her teammates."
Jones helped Cowley go 18-13-2 during her two seasons at the school, including a record of 8-8-1 this past season.
