Seven Tiger wrestlers earn All-KJCCC honors, Circle named Coach of the Year
Finishing as the conference and district champs, the Cowley College wrestling team had seven student-athletes named All-Jayhawk Conference performers.
Cowley head coach Justice Circle was named the KJCCC Wrestling Coach of the Year. Tiger First Team all-conference selections were Colt Collett (125 pounds), Evan Rodriguez (141 pounds), Jaxon Trotter (174 pounds), and David Sample (184 pounds). Ryker Agee (149 pounds) and Greyson Zellers (157 pounds) were named to the Second Team.
"All these awards are just a testament to this group of guys' hard work," Circle said. "I am happy for those seven that made the all-conference team, but without everyone on our roster, none of these awards are possible. Everyone on our roster has done their part. This group has changed the face of Cowley wrestling."
The Cowley College wrestling team has qualified all 10 wrestlers to compete at the NJCAA National Wrestling Tournament on March 6-7 in Council Bluffs, IA.
