Trison Graham named assistant wrestling coach at Cowley College
Trison Graham, a four-time state champion wrestler at Arkansas City High School and an All-American at the collegiate level, recently joined the Cowley College wrestling team as an assistant coach.
Following his successful high school career, Graham went on to wrestle at the University of Central Oklahoma where he was a two-time national qualifier and earned All-American honors by placing seventh at the national tournament in the 133-pound weight class.
He graduated from UCO in 2013 with a degree in Engineering Physics – Electrical Systems. He went on to earn a Master of Science in Engineering from Oklahoma Christian University in 2015.
Since finishing his collegiate wrestling career, Graham has been a volunteer coach of several youth wrestling programs throughout the Oklahoma City area and served one year as an assistant coach at Putnam City (OK) High School.
"I am honored to be named assistant coach and proud to help build on a strong foundation from those who came before me," Graham said. "I hope as always to achieve championship accolades as a team and contribute to many champions."
Cowley head wrestling coach Justice Circle was thrilled to be able to add someone with Graham's experience to his coaching staff.
"Trison comes with a resume slim to none and is very knowledgeable on the mat," Circle said. "He will be a huge help in many ways."
Along with working full-time jobs as a software engineer, lab associate, and maintenance technician, he achieved certification as a NASM Personal Trainer, Strong Nation instructor, and Level 1 Foundation Training instructor.
