Tiger wrestlers win home dual over Mavericks 45-11

Friday's match marked the second time Cowley has defeated the Mavericks this season, as the Tigers improved their record to 11-2 in duals.
Cowley was victorious in the first eight weight classes, with seven of the wins coming by fall or tech fall.
"I think across the board, the guys did exactly what we wanted them to do," Cowley head coach Justice Circle said. "They came out with intensity, scored points, and put on a good show in front of the home fans."
Cowley got pins from Jimmy Swenson (125 pounds), Shawn Bamba (149 pounds), Jacen Jackson (157 pounds), and Branningan Reyes (184 pounds).
The Tigers will host a tri-dual against No. 13-ranked Labette and fifth-ranked Fort Hays Tech on Tuesday at 5:30 and 7:30 p.m.
"This will be a really good test," Circle said. "We hope to get two ranked wins on Tuesday. We are headed in the right direction, we have just got to keep everybody focused."

*174 pounds – Keenan Smith (CC) won by forfeit.
*184 pounds –Branningan Reyes (CC) won by fall against Aiden Vasquez (NOC).
*197 pounds – Kanden Young (NOC) won by technical fall (17-2) against Chad Adams (CC).
