California forward signs letter of intent with Lady Tigers

Continuing to add talented players to next year's squad, the Cowley College women's basketball team recently signed Brittany Wilson, a 6-0 forward from Banning High School in Carson, Calif., to a letter of intent.
The Daily Breeze Newspaper in Torrance, Calif., named Wilson one of the 20 top female basketball players in Southern California. She was a three-time First-Team All-Marine League performer at Banning High School, and was the squad's Most Valuable Player all four years at the school.
As a senior, Wilson averaged 20 points, 14 rebounds, five blocks, three assists, and three steals.
"She is pretty versatile," Cowley head coach Todd Clark said. "She can shoot it from the perimeter, and can also go inside and do some stuff."
Wilson was one of the few bright spots for her high school team, as the teams she played on did not enjoy much success. However, many of the coaches whose teams played against Banning High School came away impressed by Wilson.
"A lot of the coaches in that area really liked all the things she could do, and commented on how they would have liked to have had her on their team," Clark said.
The Lady Tigers, coming off their first ever unbeaten season in the Jayhawk Conference Eastern Division, are nearing the completion of their off-season recruiting.
"The whole recruiting process for us has been very positive," Clark said.
