Tiger track and field squads named to the USTFCCCCA All-Academic Teams
Coming off top-20 national finishes during the outdoor season, the Cowley College men’s and women’s track and field teams were recently recognized for excellence in the classroom as they were named All-Academic Teams for the 2026 season by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).
The Lady Tigers achieved a grade point average of 3.77, and the Tiger men finished with a GPA of 3.66. Both squads finished among the top-five programs academically.
"This is something we strive for every year," Cowley head coach Cameron Rieth said. "The student-athletes put in the work and want to excel at everything they do. Handling their responsibilities in the classroom while managing their athletic responsibilities sets them up to do well."
Members of the Lady Tiger track and field team who were named to the All-Academic team were Euvia Bennett, Zuzana Bokova, Naya Burleson, Jasmine Calvo, Linda Filipova, Ariana Gomez, Marta Herrero-Lombardo, Grace Knight, Jessi McDowell, and Erika Wiese.
Tiger men's track and field members named to the All-Academic team were Esteban Boisseau, Cooper Leonard, Samuel Lovell, Cason Merritt, Wilson Navarette, Alexis Realland, Quintin Richardson, Zach Stephen, and Nash Young.
