Berry, Landrum named KJCCC Men’s Indoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week
Two NJCAA National Qualifying marks for Neosho County Community College freshman Tyler Landrum and a top 10 finish in the pole vault for Cowley College’s Kaden Berry have led to Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference Men’s Indoor Track and Field Week 6 Athlete of the Week honors.
Kaden Berry (Cowley) – KJCCC Men's Indoor Field Athlete of the Week
Berry was the highest-finishing NJCAA athlete in the meet, recording a mark of 4.73 meters to take ninth overall. This season, Berry ranks fifth in the NJCAA pole vault and is the top athlete in the event from the KJCCC (NJCAA Region 6).
Tyler Landrum (Neosho County) – KJCCC Men's Indoor Track Athlete of the Week
Landrum hit qualifying marks in the 600 meters and 800 meters while helping the Panther 4x400 meter relay team by running the second leg. Posting a school-record time of 1:11.57 in the 600-yard dash, Landrum followed with a personal-best time of 1:55.54 and a national qualifying time in the 800 meters before running the second leg in the 4x400-meter relay and running a split of 48.72 seconds as part of an overall relay time of 3:23.99.
