At Gravette, Kais was a multi-sport athlete, balancing track & field with basketball, and earning recognition for his athletic versatility. His performances in the shot put placed him among Arkansas’ elite high school throwers, setting the stage for his transition to collegiate competition. Patton was one of the top throwers in the state during his senior year, recording marks over 53 feet in shot put and 140 feet in discus.
