Tiger tennis teams continue to roll with wins at Southwest Baptist University
Facing former Cowley College assistant tennis coach Brady Matthews, who is in his first year as head coach of the Southwest Baptist University men’s and women’s tennis teams, the nationally ranked Tiger tennis teams picked up a pair of impressive wins over the Bearcats on Saturday at the John A. Bryant Tennis Center in Bolivar, MO.
The No. 5-ranked Tiger men did not drop a set while defeating Southwest Baptist University 9-0. The No. 2-ranked Lady Tigers were nearly as dominant while winning 7-2.
"Both teams played really well, and I am happy with how they handled the heat," Cowley head coach Marcel Miasato said. "It was not an easy day to play, and we were capable of handling most of the matches in straight sets."
The Tiger tennis teams will play at Southeast Oklahoma University in Durant, OK, on Tuesday at 1 p.m.
