The Basketball Tournament (TBT) is back for another year with 64 teams once again battling it out across eight regions with one semifinal/championship site to be determined. The winner will take home the $1 Million winner-take-all prize. This year's event will have some familiar faces, with Wichita State alumni playing for the AfterShocks and former Cowley College standouts Tyrus McGee and Cevin Clark suiting up for other teams at the tournament.
The AfterShocks are the top seed in their region and will host the eighth-seed Midwest Prestige at 12 p.m. Saturday, July 20, inside Charles Koch Arena. Clark, who surpassed 3,000 career points as a member of the Cowley Tigers and Southwestern Moundbuilders, will be joined by his former Southwestern College teammates Andrew O'Brien and Cooper Pierce as members of the Prestige.
McGee, the third all-time leading scorer in Cowley history and the Big 12 Sixth Man of the Year at Iowa State University will suit up for Herd That, made up primarily of Marshall University Alumni. Herd That earned the top seed in its region and will face the Jackson Tennessee Boom at 2 p.m. Friday, July 19, in Lexington, KY.
The event attracts some of the best players in the world.
