Tigerettes place first at COA Mid America National Championship

Competing at the COA Mid America National Championship Sunday in Kansas City, Mo., members of the Cowley College Tigerettes placed first in the collegiate dance variety division with their fire theme routine that incorporated jazz, pom, and hip-hop dance styles.
The squad, which is coached by Lindsay Sanderholm, received a championship trophy and banner.
"They did a really good job and worked really hard on their routine," Sanderholm said.
Six Tigerettes also competed in the collegiate dance solo division. All six dancers were finalists with Morgan Green placing third, Janae Bloom placing second, and Addie Gray placing first. Other soloists that performed well were Crystal Rausch, Judy Marks, and Kelly Riley.
Sophomores that were competing in their final competition were, Morgan Green, Janae Bloom, and Tigerette captain Crystal Rausch.
"I love my sophomores and will miss them," Sanderholm said. "Crystal did a great job leading and motivating them."
