Cowley pitcher, Barrett Morgan, taken by the Red Sox in the MLB draft

Helping the Cowley College baseball team to a 44-11 record and a top-10 national ranking in the final regular season poll, right-hander Barrett Morgan was recently selected in the 11^th round of the Major League Baseball draft by the Boston Red Sox.

Morgan was dominant in the team's closer role, finishing 5-0 with four saves and an earned run average of 0.42 during the 2025 season. The righthander struck out 40 and walked four in 21 1/3 innings pitched as he was named a First Team All-Conference and All-Region selection.
