Three Tiger baseball players were named to the All-Region Team

Three Tiger baseball players were named to the All-Region Team.

Outfielder Alex Conover was one of only three freshmen named to the First Team, while pitcher

Cody Airington and outfielder Kade Sheldon were two of four freshmen on the Second Team.

Conover, who has signed early with Oklahoma State University, batted .378 average with 13 home runs and 56 runs batted in.  

Airington led the pitching staff in victories as he went 7-2 with a 3.14 earned run average. The right-hander had a four-to-one strikeout-to-walk ratio (60-to-15).

Kade Sheldon led the Tiger regulars with a .394 batting average, with five home runs and 43 runs batted in.

The trio helped Cowley place second in the Jayhawk Conference Eastern Division and finish the season with a record of 43-18.
