Four Cowley College sophomore baseball players that will suit up for the Tigers in the spring recently signed to play for NCAA Division I schools after their time at Cowley.
Signing with NCAA Division I schools were Cole Larsen, Andrew Roach, Brannon Jordan, and Cody Milligan.
"As a staff our mission is to get our guys on to the next level," Cowley assistant coach Brock Buckingham said. "These guys are all special players and we are excited for their future."
Larsen signed with Kansas University. The right-hander went 6-2 with a 1.46 earned run average and was a First Team all-conference and all-region selection as a freshman. He led the Tiger pitching staff in innings pitched (68) and strikeouts (76) during the 2018 season.
Roach, who was named the Jayhawk East Pitcher of the Year as a freshman, signed with the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Roach went 6-2 with a 3.94 earned runs average during the 2018 season as the right-hander struck out 65 batters and walked only eight in 64 innings pitched.
Jordan signed with the University of South Carolina. He led the Tigers in wins during the 2018 season as he went 8-1 with a 3.33 earned run average. He struck out 70 batters in 54 innings.
Milligan is a sophomore transfer from Oklahoma State University that signed with the University of Southern Mississippi. The talented catcher led Binger-Oney to back-to-back Class A state championships as a junior and senior as he was named a 2017 MaxPreps Small Schools All-American. He hit .571 with 10 home runs and 49 RBIs as a senior.
