The list of former Cowley College baseball players selected in the Major League Baseball draft continues to grow after four more Tigers were taken in the 2018 MLB draft held June 4-6.
Third baseman Connor Litton was selected in the 20th round by the Philadelphia Phillies, pitcher Ben Strahm was taken in the 23rd round by the San Francisco Giants, pitcher Justin McGregor was drafted in the 31st round by the Cincinnati Reds, and centerfielder Kea'von Edwards was selected in the 36th round by the Tampa Bay Rays.
"For them to have this chance to go on and play professional baseball is unbelievable," Cowley assistant coach Brock Buckingham said. "We are proud that they will have this chance to fulfill their dream."
Litton, who helped Cowley to back-to-back JUCO World Series appearances during the 2016 and 2017 seasons, batted .285 with nine home runs and 38 runs batted in while helping East Carolina University to a record of 44-18 and an American Athletic Conference title and bid in the 2018 NCAA Regionals.

McGregor, who spent two seasons at Cowley and was a member of the 2016 Tiger team that qualified for the JUCO World Series, went 6-2 with a 2.80 ERA for Oral Roberts University this past season and finished his career at ORU with a record of 15-2.
Edwards, who spent the past two seasons at Cowley, was named a First Team All-Conference selection each of the past two seasons and batted .372 with 12 home runs and 58 RBIs as a sophomore.
