Cowley offering Baseball Winter Camp inside Travis Hafner Training Center

Cowley College is offering area baseball players an opportunity to learn from its experienced coaching staff and train in the Travis Hafner Training Center during the Cowley County Baseball Winter Camp, Dec. 29. A showcase will be held on Dec. 30.
Youngsters age 8-12 will take part in the camp from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The camp is designed to provide instruction in all aspects of the game including hitting, fielding, pitching, catching, baserunning and strategy.
Players will be split into groups according to age and ability in order to provide the most relative instruction. Cost of registration through Dec. 23 is $50. After Dec. 23 the cost of registration is $75.
The showcase on Dec. 30 is designed to give athletes the opportunity to display their abilities in front of numerous invited professional scouts and college coaches. The showcase is for youngsters age 13-18.
The Travis Hafner Training Center is a multi-million dollar, 33,000 square foot indoor training facility. The facility, which is located at 115 E. Pierce (next to the Tiger Baseball Stadium) is considered to be one of the top junior college indoor training centers in the nation. The facility features a multi-purpose area, batting cages, weight facility, athletic training room, a pair of conference rooms, as well as locker rooms and restrooms.
