Bio
Former Cowley College track and field athlete Parker Ray returns for his fourth season as an assistant sprint, pole vault, jump, and multi-event coach at the college.
During the 2024 season, he helped the Tiger men’s and women’s cross country teams capture region titles and place eighth nationally.
He has helped guide the Lady Tiger track and field team to three straight outdoor conference titles.
During the 2023 season, Ray helped the Tiger men to a ninth-place national finish during the Outdoor Track and Field Championships.
In Ray’s time at Cowley, he has helped lead the Tigers to two national championships, nine Conference titles, numerous NJCAA All-Americans, five top-10 finishes at the NJCAA National Championships, and two national record holders.
Ray was born in Wellington, KS, and grew up in South Haven, Kansas. He went to South Haven High School, where he was a standout three-sport athlete and multiple-time state competitor. He graduated from South Haven High School in 2015.
He competed at Cowley, where he was the Jayhawk Conference Eastern Division champion in the decathlon as a sophomore. He capped his Cowley College career by placing in the top 10 in the decathlon at the national meet.
He is married to his wife, Delaney.
