Bio
All-American tennis player Ane Ibarra, who played tennis at Cowley College from 2019 to 2021, returns to the school as an assistant tennis coach for the Tigers.
Ibarra first came to Cowley from Valencia, Venezuela, where she became a doubles national champion for the Lady Tiger tennis team. With Ibarra and Andrea Rodriguez teaming to win the doubles national title, the Lady Tiger tennis team finished third as a team at the NJCAA Division 1 National Championship.
During her time at Cowley, she was named a Student Athlete of the Month and a member of the Dean’s Honor Roll each year at the school.
She went on to attend Auburn University at Montgomery (AUM) from 2021 to 2025, where she earned an undergraduate and a Master’s degree in Sports Management.
At AUM, she was named a GSC Conference Player of the Week and helped the Warhawks capture the conference title for the first time in the program’s history.
Along with her athletic accomplishments, Ibarra was named an Academic All-American in 2023 and was named to the Dean’s List each year at the school. Above all, she was named the top graduating senior in the AUM Athletic Department.
