Cowley College to launch podcast “Behind the Stripes”
Providing behind-the-scenes interviews with Cowley College coaches, student-athletes, and administrators, the school is excited to announce the launch of its new podcast, “Behind the Stripes”.
The podcast, available on YouTube, will feature game recaps and previews, player and student spotlights, discussions on major campus happenings, as well as relevant sports topics.
The podcast will be conducted by long-time Cowley College employees and members of the 620 Sports Show, Rama Peroo and Hall of Fame baseball coach Dave Burroughs.
Peroo has been employed at Cowley College since 2003 and serves as the Assistant Athletic Director of Media and Communications.
Burroughs won more than 1,300 games during his 30-year run as head coach of the Tiger baseball team and won back-to-back national championships in 1997 and 1998.
Assisting with the Podcast will be Cowley College Creative Media Producer Kris Ripley, who has been employed at the College since 2006.
The podcast's name, "Behind the Stripes," was selected from numerous suggestions in a student-driven contest. Cowley College student Isabella Loomis came up with the winning name and was awarded a $50 Walmart gift card.
