Sara Puskus, Volleyball

Cowley College recently announced the November 2024 Female Athlete of the Month is sophomore Sara Puskus.

Puskus is a member of the Lady Tiger volleyball team that has won 81 matches in a row and back-to-back national championships. She finished fourth in the KJCCC in kills with 408 kills and, third in the KJCCC in kills per set (3.34), and third in hitting percentage (.341). In her career, she recorded 799 kills, 89 aces, 257 digs, 105 blocks, and a hitting percentage of .355. Her 799 career kills place her 10th in Cowley volleyball history in total career kills.

Puskas has been named a NJCAA Division II Third Team All-American, NJCAA All-Tournament Team, First Team All-District, KJCCC First Team All-Conference, and was named to the Cowley College Invitational All-Tournament Team. She has been named to the Cowley College Dean's List and to the NJCAA and KJCCC All-Academic teams. The business administration major has a GPA of 3.92.
