Miquel Cruz, Cross Country

With the fall sports season starting to heat up, Cowley College recently announced its August 2024 Male Athlete of the Month, cross country All-American Miquel Cruz.

Cruz finished as the runner-up at last year’s conference meet and was an all-region selection. He capped his freshman season by placing 16th at the national meet.

Now a sophomore, Cruz was the Tigers’ top-runner at the season-opening JK Gold Classic.

The business major has a grade point average of 3.0 and helped the Tiger men’s cross-country team capture conference and region titles.

He ranks in the top 10 all-time in Cowley history in four events as a member of the track and field team and garnered All-American honors in cross country and track.
